role models for my sister, Babette Martino, and me who also were PAFA alumni. We were born into a world where living to create was a priority.
  We ate, slept, played, dreamed, breathed turpentine, varnish, paint and were surrounded by drawing tablets, pencils, cavases, easels and brushes; even on vacations first & foremost we gathered our painting materials and then made room for everything else. "
